4Mat is a framework for instructional design that is adaptable for all learners. 4Mat teams have been established as a way to provide support and assistance to teachers when needed.
Grady
Grady profile is an electronic portfolio that engages students in learning by showing their performances, encouraging reflection, and providing feedback. Grady work sessions are schedules throughout the year to provide support and assistance to teachers when needed.
North Central Education Consortium
TGU is part of the North Central Education Consortium. The purpose of the NCEC is to ensure, through a comprehensive K-12 curriculum, that students will develop and demonstrate scholastic, technological, physical, social, and problem solving skills essential for achieving academic, occupational and personal success today and in the future. TGU teachers are encouraged to participate in Subject Area Committees that plan and implement the curriculum.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
TGU currently holds two sessions of Parent-Teacher Conferences. The first conference, held in the fall, is a traditional conference with the parent and teacher. The second conference is a student-led conference involving the student, parent(s), and the teacher. These conferences give students the opportunity to "show off" what they have learned.
Professional Portfolios
All TGU teachers are asked to develop Professional Portfolios. These portfolios are to include evidence of professional development through the use of the BCC curriculum activities, 4Mat, Grady, and other various professional development activities.
NWEA Measures of Academic Progress Test
TGU students in grades 2-11 are tested in general reading and math in the fall and spring each school year. These tests are used to show students growth from year to year in these subject areas.
Quick Pop Up
Quick PopUP is a communication tool used throughout TGU. It gives administrators, teachers, and the staff the ability to communicate between classrooms by using a computer messaging system.
Learn 360
TGU teachers have access to the library of mulimedia resources avaiable at Learn 360.
Peace Garden Consortium
The Peace Garden consortium of students support service is an independent adminisrative consortium of special education units established to coordinate the provision of special education services in the cooperating schools.
